In March 2010, Egeria acquired a majority stake in Axent Nabestaandenzorg N.V. through Axent Verzekeringen from Aegon.

Axent, formerly AEGON NabestaandenZorg (NBZ) N.V., is an insurance company which underwrites individual life insurance for funeral services. Starting in 1846 as a general insurance trust fund, the company has been formed through the consolidation of 13 different funeral insurance portfolios of which the major portfolios were: Ago, Axent, NVG, LPU and Momento Mori. Axent is now entirely separate from Aegon

In August 2015, Axent was sold to a.s.r. verzekeringen.
