In July 2012, Egeria, together with management, acquired Hitec Power Protection (Hitec)
Hitec develops, manufactures, delivers and services UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) emergency power solutions to ensure uninterruptible, continuous and conditioned power supplies to mission critical processes. These UPS systems store kinetic energy through an induction coupling, which during a power outage bridges the necessary time to start a diesel generator. Hitec delivers mainly to data centres, financial institutions, semiconductor producers, hospitals and airports. In addition, the company manufactures high precision current measuring systems and rents UPS systems.
