NRC Media is a publisher of quality newspapers such as the NRC Handelsblad (evening edition) and nrc.next (morning paper). With these combined titles, NRC Media has become the market leader among the Dutch quality newspapers, with a total number of approximately 290,000 subscriptions. In addition, NRC hosts, on a smaller scale, events and sells products and services through its webshop nrclux.nl. NRC services a target market of highly educated, critical, and broadly interested readers and viewers.

The company is located in Amsterdam and has more than 330 employees. NRC Media achieves annual sales of € 120 million.

In February 2015, NRC Media was sold to the Belgian media company Mediahuis.
